Funeral Services in the Garden

Funeral services are held on occasion in the gardens of the Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home during the summer months.  Special garden seating, sound system and refreshments are planned according to the wishes of the family. 

A colorful impatient annual border was recently planted by Terra Bella’s crew.

According to the book, Historic Traverse City Houses, the gazebo was once the bell tower from the old frame school built in 1877.  When the school was torn down in 1885 to make room for the current Central Grade School, the bell tower was salvaged and today resides just one block north as a magnificent gazebo in this peaceful garden setting.
